A six-bedroom estate on the Gulf at Port Royal, the most private address in Naples, where the lots are wide and the beach is the front yard. Single-story pavilions of limestone and glass sit under deep flat overhangs, arranged around a resort-scale pool and a lanai that faces due west, because in Naples the sunset is the event, and this house is built around it.
Twelve guests across six bedrooms, each with its own bath, a summer kitchen on the lanai, a wine room, and mature royal palms that were here before the house. The scale is generous and the mood is calm; the two are not in tension when the design is this restrained. The concierge is on call for the whole stay, and Naples and Fort Myers airports are both an easy chauffeured transfer.
